Monastery of the Holy Spirit in Conyers and Blue Willow Inn

Wednesday June 20th 2012

This will be a nice, short day out in the summer.   Just right for those days when you’d like to get out a bit, but not have to travel far.  We’ll first go to Conyers to visit the Monastery.   This is a beautiful spot, with lovely gardens, walking paths, a bonsai tree area, a bakery, chapel and much more.   You can walk among the monks at your leisure taking in all the peace and tranquility of the Monastery.  From there it’s on the Social Circle for a delicious, included lunch at the wonderful Blue Willow.  The restaurants and the shops have had a tough go of it the last year or so, and we want to come out and support them in their efforts of bringing delicious southern style food to everyone.  It’s always a treat!  After lunch and a bit of time in the gift shop we’ll head back with a quick stop at the Stone Mountain Pecan store near Monroe.   It’s going to be a nice little trip with a yummy lunch!
